With a vision of providing an affordable and sustainable roof on every human’s head, founder Gaurav Agrawal flew to the United States capital Washington DC on Aug 11, 2018, for his Masters from a prestigious academia named the University of Maryland, College Park set in the suburbs of Washington DC. Having received his Bachelor of Technology degree from India’s top institution IIT Bombay, Gaurav’s foundations for dreams were designed safely. But the path ahead was tough, and Gaurav graduated with flying colors in May 2020 amid the great pandemic COVID 19. The job market was tight. Construction projects were halted and so were design services. Getting his dream job in building design looked grim. Not losing hope, Gaurav landed a good job as a bridge structural engineer at the Virginia Department of Transportation in Richmond central office in October 2020. To develop more interests, he got an Engineer-In-Training and LEED Green Associate license.

Gaurav switched to his dream role of designing buildings at Walter P. Moore in April 2022 as soon as the market opened. Gaurav gained formal applications of principles he learned at college. There he gained organizational, communicational, and leadership skills as well. Talking about his major projects, Gaurav worked on the Omaha Eppley airport project and Hollywood Park Studios project at Walter P Moore Washington DC office. Sustainability was another field he got interested in and became an active contributor in the firm-wide sustainability group. He worked with EPDs, WBLCA, material tracking, LEED certifications, net zero, etc. Amidst all this development, Gaurav felt the time had arrived to move back to India to share his knowledge with Indian projects and clients and to bring all the technology he experienced to India.

After coming back to India in July 2023, Gaurav worked as a Structural engineer Grade 3 at ARUP, Mumbai office for some time to brush up on his Indian structural design teachings and to research the market better. Here Gaurav worked on a beach house in Alibaug for the RIL and also worked on the DLF downtown, Chennai project. Thus, in January 2024 Gaurav finally launched his dream – ASC his own structural design and consultancy firm to work independently. With the experiences gained, Gaurav uses his pragmatic approach to find innovative solutions for clients to add value to their projects, keeping in mind sustainability as well. In March 2024 , Gaurav secured IGBC Accredited Professional License as well.
